ISO 06B-1 Sprocket

The ISO 06B-1 sprocket (3/8"×7/32", 9.525 mm pitch, DIN 8187) is a workhorse for medium-duty European-standard chain drives across conveyor, agricultural, and packaging applications. Available in Type A (plain plate), Type B (one-sided hub), Finished Bore, Taper Sleeve (TS), Taper Disk (TD), and Taper Taper (TT) formats, it covers virtually every mounting requirement from Z=8 through Z=125.

Features & Advantages

Multiple Hub Types Type A (plain disc), Type B (single hub), and Type C (double hub) allow mounting in tight or extended shaft configurations.
Taper-Sleeve Ready TS, TD, and TT bushing bore options (1008, 1210, 1610) allow rapid, tool-less sprocket removal — critical for production-line maintenance.
Finished Bore Available Pre-machined finished bore versions eliminate on-site boring — simply specify your shaft diameter and keyway dimensions.
DIN 8187 Precision Grade All hobbed to DIN Grade 6 tolerance, guaranteeing pitch accuracy within ±0.005 mm for quiet, fatigue-resistant operation.

Compatibility

Compatible with ISO/DIN 8187 06B-1 roller chain (pitch 9.525 mm, inner width 5.72 mm, roller Φ 6.35 mm). Taper variants accept standard 1008/1210/1610 QD-style taper bushes. Finished bore range: typically 14–76 mm depending on tooth count and hub type.

“We replaced a German-brand 06B-1 with these and the chain lasted 40% longer. Tooth profile quality is visibly superior under microscope inspection.”

FAQ

►  What is the difference between 06B-1 Type A, B, and C?
Type A has no hub (platewheel style, bolt/weld mount). Type B has a single boss on one side. Type C has bosses on both sides for deep shaft engagement. Selection depends on shaft length and torque requirements.
►  Which taper bushes fit the 06B-1 TS sprocket?
The 06B-1 TS range accepts 1008 (for smaller bores), 1210 (medium), and 1610 (larger bore) standard taper bushes. These are available separately.
►  Is the finished bore version ready to install?
Yes. Specify your shaft diameter and keyway dimensions at order. We machine the bore and cut the keyway to your drawing before shipping.
►  Can these be used with a duplex chain?
Only if you order the 06B-2 duplex sprocket. The simplex 06B-1 will not properly guide a two-strand chain.
►  What is the delivery lead time for non-standard tooth counts?
Standard range (Z=8–57) ships from stock within 3–5 days. Non-standard tooth counts (Z>57) typically require 7–14 days manufacture.
  1. Check that shaft diameter matches the finished bore or taper bush bore before assembly.
  2. For taper-sleeve types: insert the taper bush into the sprocket bore, slide onto the shaft, and tighten to the torque specified for the bush size.
  3. Align sprockets within 0.5 mm lateral offset using a straight-edge across the tooth faces.
  4. Install chain and adjust tension to 2% sag on the slack strand.
  5. Re-check torque on taper bush fasteners after 8 hours of initial operation.
