  1. Finish-bore both coupling sprockets to the respective shaft diameters; cut keyways to drawing.
  2. Mount sprockets on their respective shafts; align shafts using a dial indicator — target less than 0.1 mm TIR on coupling hub face.
  3. Wrap the duplex roller chain around both sprockets and close with a connecting link.
  4. Install the chain coupling housing (cover) if required for guard compliance or lubrication retention.
  5. Verify shaft alignment monthly during the first 3 months of operation and re-check after any unexpected load or vibration event.
